Hilary Duff, the reigning teen-queen of America is a multi-talented lady. She is a beautiful American film & television actress and a melodious singer who has scored innumerable hits winning the hearts of millions of fans across America and around the world.
Hilary Duff was born as Hilary Erhard Duff on 28th of September 1987 in Houston, Texas, US, to mother Susan Colleen nee Cobb, a homemaker and father Robert Erhard Duff, a partner in a chain of convenience stores. Hilary Duff has an elder sister named Haylie Duff, who is also an actress and singer. Encouraged by her mother, Hilary Duff along with her sister took up acting lessons and began appearing in commercials, local theater plays and ballets. Choosing acting as a career, Hilary Duff and her sister Haylie Duff finally relocated to California along with their mother, while father stayed back to look after their family business back home.
Finally at the age of ten, Hilary Duff began her acting career with a minor role in a mini-series "True Women" in 1997. The following year, this cute li'l actress, Hilary Duff hit it big with "Casper Meets Wendy", a mini-series movie, in which she played the role of a young witch named 'Wendy'. Her beautiful performance received a Young Artist Award nomination. She has since been never looked back. Hilary went on to give wonderful performances in Hollywood movies and television soaps.
In 2001, television soap, "Lizzie McGuire" hit the American homes and so did Hilary Duff, who cast a magical spell on the millions of American television audiences with her scintillating performance in the title role of Lizzie Mcquire. The television series "Lizzie McGuire" lasted 65 episodes running from 2001 to 2004. Hilary also played the role of Olivia Burke in a six-part television soap "Gossip Girl" in 2009; besides playing several guest appearances like "American Dreams", "Gossip Girl", and "Community" and so on.
